As of today, I worked a full 7 hours shift and an hour of over time. By making time and a half the first 7 hours and time and a half to the time and a half for the 1 hour the next paycheck will be REALLY nice. I think I shall buy an Apple TV.

Parents should be slowly divesting themselves of big, life decisions to their children as they grow. Yes, you can set rules of the house but you can't actually actively prevent him from doing something.
Who's talking about decisions? It's about teaching responsibilities.
Obviously you can't prevent any person from doing as they desire, but setting rules is not a prison sentence, it's a loving parent exercising their responsibility to set guidelines for a yet not grown up (technically) young adult who doesn't know any better. Sure they need to learn by their mistakes, but tell that to him when he's 19 and responsible for a baby who never asked to be brought into the world. He'll have to grow up then won't he or can he?

Bibliographer (http://www.stanford.edu/~tristanh/bibliographer.html) --this is the best tool for doing Bibliographies. I use it a lot. Very customizable, very easy to learn and use, and runs on anything from OS 8 to OS X to System 7.5.3.

Good thing the screensaver password dialog is the login window itself (even the same exact process) in Lion then, huh?

I hate to be SO negative about this, but I've never understood the attraction here with a .mac account. I guess it fills the need of some people...but based on all the webmails with online storage - what is the main attraction here? Syncing? With USB storage, CDR's, DL-DVD's who would really need to use this much?
I did a little web page with iWeb (cute but TERRIBLY limiting) and thus had to get a temporary .mac account, but once built..it just sat there and slowly expired.
.mac is the Mac product in my "apple gut" that makes me cringe... very similiar to the cringe I get when I think about going back to my PC for something! Also, it reminds me of the feeling I got when I canceled my subscription to Macworld because it became iPod world...
I really just hate it. Damn! this rumor just pissed me off.

I thought Lion was supposed to have real full OpenGL 3.x support. However, OpenGL Extensions Viewer (GLView from Realtech) still reports that GLSL 1.3 is not supported, meaning that OpenGL 3.0 is 95% implemented, which is the same as Snow Leopard. Perhaps Apple hasn't yet added full OGL support to the betas? Does anyone have a Lion system with full OpenGL 3.0 implemented?
This is on a 2010 MBP with an NVIDIA 330M, by the way.

It's probably possible, but you'd need to write the game yourself. Also, the mouse wouldn't be able to control the computer, so the game should be able to respecify mouse button actions and controls. It also needs to be optimized for the magic mouse. I'm not sure if the mouse differentiates from the top and bottom of the mouse for expose, but if it does, it will work flawlessly. Its just a matter of finding or writing a game that uses the magic mouse controls differently to control the game.

Good news everyone!!! You guys remember the connecticut home invasion where Dr. William Petit, his two daughters and wife were brutally attacked in their home, and the daughters and wife were tortured, raped and murdered? Well, the trial for the second suspect is going on today, and he's probably getting the death penalty!! The first suspect, steven hayes, was already sentenced to death a few months back. CHEERS!!! :D:D:D You need to increase your medication as a matter of urgency.

I installed MouseZoom on my new PB to speed up the trackpad but now i don't like it. How do I uninstall it and go back to my original settings. Do u just drag the mousezoom icon in system prefs to the trash?

The question asked of heterosexuals =/= asked gay and bisexual men. The risk factor for straight people is risky sex, the risk factor asked for gay men is not risky sex, but sex at all - even once. Its not the same thing. If there was no bigotry behind the question it would be raised this way to all, no matter what orientation "have you had unprotected sex with more than one partner in the last 5 years, if yes have you been tested for HIV?"
I don't buy it for all the reasons previously given. If it was not a medical issue why is it such a common rule across so many western countries? And why does it not apply to gay women?
